Aspect Hotel Park West: Setting the Gold Standard with Green Tourism

We are thrilled to announce that Aspect Hotel Park West has been awarded Gold Accreditation with Green Tourism.

Green Tourism is a globally recognised certification programme which encourages businesses to operate in more sustainable ways including reducing energy waste, saving water, and promoting a smart and sustainable outlook throughout the hotel. 

The hotel is proud to offer a low carbon footprint of just 1.32kg of CO2-e per guest night, significantly lower than the 29.71kg of CO2-e international hotel benchmark.

Commenting on the award, Andrea Wallace, General Manager said “We are delighted to have been awarded Gold Accreditation with Green Tourism in recognition of our sustainability efforts. This was truly a team effort, which we continue to improve and learn from through our everyday operations. In an age where the environment has truly become an emotive topic, green travel is on the rise with guests opting for eco-friendly accommodation options. We’re delighted that our guests are supporting our efforts by re-using towels, opting out of housekeeping service and unplugging devices when they are leaving the room. Every guest room includes an energy saving guide which has hints and tips on how guests can help to reduce energy and conserve water.”

The Green Tourism Gold Award was earned through a wide range of sustainable initiatives, including energy-efficient upgrades, water-saving devices, and a comprehensive recycling program. The hotel prioritises the use of eco-friendly cleaning products, and offers low-impact amenities like bulk dispensers and a towel reuse program. All energy is sourced from renewables and the hotel partners with local charities including Aoibheann’s Pink Tie and Beyond The Moon.

Sustainability is woven into the very fabric of the hotel’s operations, including 141 spacious four-star bedrooms, serviced apartments, and a recently refurbished ground floor consisting of six meeting rooms with the capacity of 2 – 80 delegates, and Willow Restaurant & Bar.
